All Creatures Great and Small

Wow, I have a week that looks like a normal calendar, with some white space on it and everything!  I'm so excited!

"C-3" was an excellent Drama Camp.  You guys never cease to amaze me at how you buckle down and just learn a ton of material in 5 days.  And God never ceases to amaze me at how He takes this hodgepodge of people, ideas, music, and energy and turns it into something that glorifies Him!

Yesterday was one of those BIG DAYS
.  You know, the kind where God is doing large things in your heart that you weren't really expecting, plus He's doing large things in people around you, and it's all kind of washing over you like waves that are rougher than you expected.

I kept falling down, and laughing, and getting saltwater up my nose.

Days like that are exciting, and good, but sometimes your knees are skinned when it's all over with.

Know what I mean?

What "real" books have you guys read that are the can't-put-down,cool and engaging kind?

I'm trying to pick books for Sam and Bek (and sometimes Jake) for Lit. this year, and want your suggestions.

(No "Captain Underpants" please.  We're going for a little higher grade level....)

I haven't posted in so long........does anyone still know that I'm out here????

Life is amazing.
God is awesome.
He keeps changing things up with me.
Never a dull moment.

Changes for next school year -- exciting but way-weird.

Finishing Drama Camp "C-3" script and plans for a smaller cast and a different feel.

Working on "Jury" from a whole new artistic perspective.

The chance to play a character in "Glass Menagerie" -- acting after a long time of directing.

Stepping back from landscaping jobs so I'm less overwhelmed in the spring and summer.

My kids are getting so adult and independent; fabulous, but it all feels strange.

DOES THIS MEAN I'M GETTING OLD?

P.S. - I highly recommend that book for you guys who haven't read it yet.  Amazing stuff about becoming a man in the midst of struggle.  It's short and easy to read, and not really about war at all; it's just about growing up.
